From childhood wonder to Olympic Volunteer
My earliest Olympic memories go back to 1984: Gaétan Boucher winning two gold and one bronze medal in Sarajevo, Sylvie Bernier capturing gold in diving in Los Angeles, and—burned into my mind forever—a man in an astronaut suit soaring through the air during the Summer Games Opening Ceremonies.
